A Mother's Story
"Being a working mom, I thought that I was supposed to do everything I could to help support my daughter. Maybe that was just my way of easing any guilt I felt for working. As time went on and her behavior became more out of control, our family and home life crumbled. My husband and I didn't know how to parent our child any longer. A counselor friend had mentioned Eagle Ranch several years ago, but we just didn't think it would ever get to this point.
After dealing with feelings of guilt for being 'bad parents' and many tears shed, we contacted Eagle Ranch to see if this was the hope we needed to heal our family. We wondered if we were truly making the right decision, but strangely enough, our daughter was kind of excited about this adventure. Little did I know, God had plans to work as hard on me as He did with her. The wonderful counseling staff and houseparents have helped me realize that I was a big part of our daughter's problems.
We have been at the Ranch several months now and though it has been painful for all of us at times, we truly know now that this place of refuge is where God wanted us all along. We don't know how long we may be here, but our sincere prayer is that our family will come out whole again when this journey ends. Thank you God and thanks to all the wonderful staff at Eagle Ranch for being there for hurting families like ours."

"I had almost given up on raising my granddaughter. I was failing, and I was failing her. Eagle Ranch taught us how to make it - together."

After losing my wife, I was a poor father to my two children. Bad grades and poor behavior resulted. The Eagle Ranch school got them back on track, and counselors helped us look past our crisis to a brighter future."
