Kirby Thompson

Kirby was previously Vice President of Community and Legislative Affairs for Equifax.  Prior to joining Equifax, he was an independent consultant in the field of public affairs.  He also spent 13 years with NationsBank including Government Relations and Community Relations for Citizens and Southern National Bank (predecessor of NationsBank/Bank of America).  Kirby served as Legislative Assistant to Senator Sam Nunn in Washington, D.C., from 1978 until 1981. 

 

Kirby earned a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from the University of Georgia in 1976.  His civic duties currently include the board of Georgia Council on Economic Education, Georgia 4-H Foundation, and the GA Chamber of Commerce.  He is a past board member of the Georgia Division-American Cancer Society, St. Martin’s Episcopal School, Leadership Georgia Foundation, the University of Georgia Alumni Association and Decatur First Bank Group.
