Each family we serve has a unique story, but many share similar feelings of grief, frustration, pain and heartache. Knowing that someone understands helps start the journey to healing.
Eagle Ranch’s founder, Eddie Staub, often reminds me that “remembrance is the key to faith.” We are forgetful people, are we not? I know all too well how easy it is for me to doubt God’s faithfulness for the future despite His trustworthiness in the past. Our faith for the future is built upon the foundation of God’s love for us in the past. It is in this spirit that we begin our 40th anniversary.
Every year we have the honor of celebrating the accomplishments of families graduating from the Eagle Ranch residential program. This year, it is with great excitement that we are also able to note the dedication and hard work of our first-ever Day School Program graduate.
750 calls. In 2023, our team saw a nearly 60 percent rise in calls from families needing help – an increase that has been building year over year. Consider for a moment that each of these calls represents a family with children in crisis. These families are our neighbors and our friends.
I’m not sure what the start of your year has looked like, but for me, it has been a sobering reminder of how pervasive the needs are for children and families in our community.
