Campus Pastor

ABOUT EAGLE RANCH

Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families. 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Campus Pastor provides strategic and pastoral leadership for the spiritual life and formation of the Eagle Ranch community. The role develops and implements a cohesive vision for spiritual formation, discipleship, worship, teaching, and pastoral care, ensuring that faith is intentionally integrated throughout the Ranch’s culture, programs, and relationships. The Campus Pastor engages staff, children, and families with the love of Christ while equipping others to foster spiritual growth and maturity throughout the community.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pastoral Leadership and Spiritual Care

• Serves as the primary pastor and spiritual advisor for the Eagle Ranch community, providing biblical guidance, prayer, encouragement, and pastoral care.
• Provides pastoral support to staff, children, and families, particularly during times of crisis or significant need.
• Coordinates staff counseling support through The Rest Initiative and other appropriate resources.

Spiritual Formation and Discipleship

• Develops and leads Eagle Ranch’s overall spiritual formation strategy in alignment with its Statement of Faith, mission, and values.
• Establishes annual spiritual formation themes and plans spiritual life activities, worship, teaching, prayer, and discipleship opportunities.
• Ensures spiritual formation is intentional, cohesive, and responsive to the needs of the Eagle Ranch community.

Staff Discipleship, Spiritual Development, and Community Culture

• Leads weekly staff chapel and provides opportunities for worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and reflection.
• Leads and facilitates Bible studies, discipleship groups, and other spiritual development opportunities for staff.
• Equips leaders and staff to integrate faith and discipleship into their work and relationships.

Student and Family Discipleship

• Partners with Program, Home Life Coaches, and Program Assistants to provide biblical discipleship and spiritual care for residential children and families.
• Develops Bible studies, devotions, worship experiences, and other discipleship opportunities for residential students.
• Leads daily devotions at Eagle Ranch School and partners with school and program leadership to support the spiritual development of day school students and families.
• Plans and leads special worship, prayer, and spiritual life initiatives, including summer programming and evening worship.
• Equips staff to incorporate age-appropriate biblical discipleship into everyday relationships and routines.

• Demonstrated ability to be part of a leadership community and contribute to an organization’s broader mission and priorities.
• Outgoing, engaging personality with a love for connecting with others. 
• Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in all areas of work and ministry.
• Humble, open to feedback, and continually growing in personal and professional capacities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's seminary education preferred.
• At least 3 years of ministry experience, including teaching and leading small and large group settings, as well as intentional discipleship relationships.
• Strong and proven giftedness in communication, both in large and small group settings, with the ability to clearly present biblical principles in an engaging and applicable way.
• Work or volunteer experience with young people, particularly in a mentorship or discipleship context.
• Flexibility to work some early mornings/nights/weekends with special events and community outreach.
