ABOUT EAGLE RANCH: Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The High School Math/Science Teacher is a member of the Eagle Ranch School (ERS) team providing instruction, maintaining a positive classroom environment and student management, communication and counseling support, discipleship, and professionalism. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering quality instruction to students in 10th based on the GADOE Standards, implementing the Eagle Ranch program, and fostering an environment that promotes biblical principles. The teacher provides an unique opportunity to influence the lives of children and families beyond traditional academia, helping to nurture a thriving spiritual environment in a therapeutic setting. The teacher serves as an educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of ERS ensuring that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and the mission of the school and the Ranch Program.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instruction - Teacher demonstrates understanding of subject content and promotes student learning by using research based instructional strategies to engage students in thinking and learning.
- Teach two classes and possess the ability and skills to successfully teach Chemistry or Environmental Science and Geometry or Algebra II to students in grade 10.
- Facilitate 10th grade ELA class for students in grade 10 following an online curriculum.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Apply GA State Standards or approved curriculum during instruction.
- Align assessments with GA State Standards.
- Differentiate instruction according to student needs and share strategies with colleagues.
- Plan instruction according to mastery, rigor, and approved pacing.
- Implement problem solving strategies.
- Post/Update instruction and homework on ERS learning platforms.
Management System and Program Frameworks - Teachers provide a well managed, positive student environment conducive to learning and growing.
- Learn and implement with fidelity Ranch-wide frameworks, programs, and vernacular to manage student behavior.
- Maintain student accountability and progress with written and verbal feedback including, but not limited to, Facts and LiveSchool.
- Assume responsibility for student learning and support them through differentiation.
- Motivate all students to do their best.
- Create an environment that is respectful, supportive, and productive.
Communication and Counseling support - Teacher communicates effectively and consistently with students, parents, and Eagle Ranch personnel to maintain academic and therapeutic student programs.
- Implement all therapeutic programs created or adopted by Eagle Ranch with intentional commitment.
- Promote positive interactions and learning in the classroom and school environments.
- Maintain relationships with all members of the TPCI team.
- Foster relationships with Eagle Ranch staff conducting yourself according to Eagle Ranch policy.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Ranch students and families.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Science or Math preferred) or similar field required.
- At least three years teaching in a middle or high school setting required.
- Teaching Certification from GAPSC or ACSI preferred.
- Previous experience leading students with learning/behavioral challenges preferred.
