LOCATION & SCOPE: On site in Flowery Branch, GA from June 2026 to May 2027

ABOUT EAGLE RANCH

Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The IT Intern is a paid position that serves as an on-site IT point of contact at Eagle Ranch, providing timely technical support to staff. This role assists with ticket resolution, onboarding and offboarding processes, hardware and software troubleshooting, A/V support, and basic network connectivity issues. The IT Intern also helps coordinate with third-party IT service providers to ensure efficient resolution of technical needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

End-User Technical Support

• Serve as one of the on-site IT points of contact (POC), providing real-time assistance to team members.

• Provide initial technical support and troubleshooting for end-user operating systems and software applications.

• Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email, text, and face-to-face interactions.

• Prioritize and escalate complex issues to the IT Coordinator and/or third-party service providers to ensure timely resolution.

Hardware, Systems & Infrastructure Support

• Provide support for hardware issues including computers, cell phones, external hard drives, smart boards, networking equipment, VoIP telephone systems, and audio-visual equipment.

• Support security and authentication tools such as JumpCloud and Microsoft 365 Admin, maintaining working knowledge to assist users effectively.

• Identify potential security vulnerabilities, recommend upgrades or improvements, and communicate findings to the IT Coordinator.

• Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and inventory within ranch software systems.

• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of ranch-wide systems.

• Act as liaison to third-party IT service providers.

Onboarding, Offboarding & Training

• Assist the IT Coordinator with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware setup and account provisioning.

• Support individual and corporate training sessions for staff.

IT Projects & Events Support

• Support IT initiatives aligned with the Eagle Ranch IT Roadmap.

• Provide audio-visual support for Eagle Ranch events, including operating sound boards, presentation software, and advancing PowerPoint or Keynote slide decks.

• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated technical aptitude through foundational knowledge of IT systems, troubleshooting methodologies, and hardware/software support.

• Comfortable working with audio-visual equipment, video conferencing tools, and collaboration platforms.

• Proficient in both Mac and PC environments and user interfaces.

• Flexibility to work some nights/weekends with special events.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Active Directory, Google Workspace, JumpCloud, 1Password, Coda, Tana, Slack, and onboarding/offboarding processes; familiarity with macOS and Windows 10 & 11 Pro.
