Paraprofessional (Full-time)

REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full-time (35 hrs/wk; 9am - 4pm daily); Non-exempt

ABOUT EAGLE RANCH: Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The full-time paraprofessional is a member of the Eagle Ranch School (ERS) team who supports teachers with instruction, classroom management, communication, and student support. This role assists teachers, front office staff, and counselors in implementing the Eagle Ranch program and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment. The paraprofessional helps support students and families beyond academics by contributing to a spiritually nurturing, therapeutic setting. Responsibilities include assisting with supervision, following school policies and procedures, supporting approved curriculum, and helping ensure a safe environment aligned with the mission of ERS and the Eagle Ranch Program.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instructional Support

  • Assist the teacher in applying GA State Standards or approved curriculum during instruction.
  • Support differentiated instruction based on student needs.
  • Assist with planning aligned to mastery, rigor, and approved pacing.
  • Help monitor student accountability and progress through written and verbal feedback.
  • Support student learning through targeted instructional assistance.

Classroom Environment & Behavior Support

  • Help create a respectful, supportive, and productive learning environment.
  • Promote positive interactions and learning in classroom and school settings.
  • Learn and implement Ranch-wide frameworks, programs, and common language to support student behavior.
  • Implement therapeutic programs adopted by Eagle Ranch with consistency.

Relationships & Communication

  • Maintain professional relationships with members of the TPCI team.
  • Build positive working relationships with Eagle Ranch staff in accordance with Ranch policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.

Day Program Responsibilities

  • Conduct peer groups with Day Program students.
  • Supervise late pickups until 4pm and attend Parent Insight Nights.
  • Participate in bi-weekly Faculty Meetings and Day Program Group Meetings.
  • Conduct check-ins with day students and parents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting.
  • Previous experience leading students with learning/behavioral challenges preferred.
